You could think of the Diamondback cocktail as an Old-Fashioned on steroids.
Or at least, that’s what it’s evolving into. It didn’t really start that way.
Next week is Negroni Week (June 2–8). The idea behind Negroni Week is that participating bars around the world promote their Negroni cocktails, and donate a portion of the profits to a charity of their choice.
It’s an opportunity for Negroni drinkers everywhere to join with their favorite bars to support local charitable organizations. And of course, to drink Negronis.
In an earlier article, I wrote about the Full House Cocktail—complex, herbal, strong, and sweet. A little too sweet for me, so I looked at easy ways to cut that sweetness back.

The Diki-Diki not only has the goofiest name of any cocktail I’ve made, it is also a remarkable and seductive blend of flavors, based on an unusual model.
